I’m Walter, a Senior Level Designer and
Game Designer with 9+ years of experience
crafting high-impact levels, encounters, and
gameplay systems across action-adventure,
shooter, and puzzle titles in UE4/5 and Unity.
I thrive in environments full of human kindness
and a strong team spirit, where the issues can be discussed with professionalism and diligence, doing smart and efficient iterations when crafting our next hit.
I’ve shipped Corruptor as an indie developer, leading a 4-person team, building 6 levels, 17 boss arenas, and fully designing 17 bosses with unique AI patterns and combat phases. At Gameloft, I delivered 43 open-world encounters & missions in just 2 months, upgraded district layouts for new combat systems, and raised encounter clarity and variety across Gangstar New York.
Recently, I’ve established level design pipelines, improved cross-team alignment, and delivered polished tutorials, puzzle flows, and open-area layouts that reduce confusion, sharpen pacing, and boost engagement during playtests.
At present, I am working as a freelancer for Project Pyramid, crafting the initial area of the vertical slice, plus helping our small team by providing feedback and best practices.
My design philosophy prioritises player readability, frictionless gameplay iteration, and crafting unforgettable gameplay moments.
I’m open to roles across the EU, UK, and fully remote worldwide.
